Worship with us in Historic Fairbanks / Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Church of the Redeemer online. We hope that our website highlights the traditional Anglican worship, the fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about the church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would like to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by spreading the Truth of His Gospel while providing the most traditional and reverent services in the Anglican Way. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man by preaching the Words of eternal life and by works of mercy and love as God commands. We believe that in these ways, we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Prayer & Thanksgiving for the Church of the Redeemer

Almighty God, we thank Thee for the guidance of thy Holy Spirit as we sought a new minister for our church.  Thou knewest our special needs and the task that lay to our hand.  We thank Thee that in our search Thou didst direct us, and gavest us insight to perceive the leader Thou hast chosen for us.  And we pray, O Lord, that after this time of waiting we may now all devote ourselves afresh to thy service, so that nothing be lost of the faithful work of the past, but rather that it may be brought to a rich harvest in the years to come.  This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

A Prayer for the United States and its Citizens

Almighty God, who brought forth this nation to be a light for Thee to all the world, and who gave us this good land and all the rights and freedoms we have, be with us, Bless us and inspire us as we give Thee thanks and praise for the founding of this country.

Give us Thy wisdom and also the heart to see and to know what Thou hast provided for us.  Open our eyes to the truth that Thou, our Lord God, art repeatedly and openly confessed in the very founding document of the United States of America:  The signers of the Declaration of Independence said first that they acted under the “Laws of God”; and that we are endowed by Thee, our Creator, with Unalienable rights which no government ever gave us or can unjustly take away because they are God-given rights;  they appealed to Thee, the Supreme Judge of the World, for the rightness of their intentions; and finally they acted with a firm reliance on the Protection of Thy divine Providence in what they did that day and for all time.

May it be our earnest prayer this day and always that we, the heirs and the beneficiaries of this Godly heritage, may take as our guiding light the example set by the founders of this nation.  May we - remembering and honoring them - likewise think and act always under the Laws of God, knowing that Thou our Creator art the maker and sole author of all our rights as a free people.  May we, too, appeal to Thee, the Supreme Judge of the World, for the grace to have right intentions in all things, and a firm reliance on the protection of Thy divine Providence.

In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness and praise for Thee our Creator and only Provider; and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in Thee to fail; all which we ask in the Name of Thy Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Amen.
